Website for a painter
Nathan Apffel Painting
A fast, quiet portfolio for my paintings: a works grid filtered by series, a page per series, and a viewer with year, medium and size.
Rebuilt to replace a slow WordPress site that was hard to keep up.
What it does
The old site ran on WordPress. I rebuilt it as a static site that loads at once and costs nothing extra to keep running, and kept every old address working so no link to it broke.
Visitors filter the works by series, read each series statement on its own page, and step through the paintings in a viewer that shows the year, medium and size. A small contact form sends messages straight to my inbox.
- Works grid filtered by series
- A page for each series with its statement
- Viewer with year, medium and size, in series order
- Every old WordPress address redirects to its new page
- Contact form without an outside service
